Seat Manufacturing & Upholstery is the institute's flagship course and the skill most directly connected to live Matrix Car Decor production work. Students learn to build a complete automotive seat from the structural frame through foam work, cover cutting and fitting to final finishing — all on real production jobs.

This is a high-demand trade with strong employment and self-employment prospects. Skilled seat manufacturers are needed by automotive workshops, custom fitment shops, upholstery businesses and vehicle conversion companies across India.

What You'll Learn

• Seat frame structure — components, types and fabrication basics
• Foam selection, cutting and shaping for different seat types
• Foam bonding, layer techniques and density knowledge
• Fabric and leather selection, cutting and pattern prep
• Cover fitting — stretching, stapling and tacking techniques
• Recliner mechanism identification and fitting
• Piping, welting and border stitching for cover edges
• Upholstery finishing — inspection, correction and quality standards
• Seat installation and removal in real vehicles

How Training Works

Training is split daily between theory and workshop practice. From week two, students are working on actual seat production jobs alongside experienced staff. This means work completed in training has real commercial value — it's the most direct learning environment possible.

Students above 18 participate in live Matrix Car Decor production orders. Students under 18 train in dedicated educational practice areas.
